Alan Wolinetz started their work experience as a senior vice president at Republic National Bank in 1976 and remained in that role until 1999. Alan then served as the General Manager at Law Debenture Trust Company from October 2006 to May 2008. Following this, they became the Chief Financial Officer at Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens in August 2008, where they are currently employed.

Alan Wolinetz earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from City University of New York-Herbert H. Lehman College from 1962 to 1967. Alan later completed their MBA in Management at Pace University from 1967 to 1968.
