Daniel K. Cairo Ed.D is a seasoned professional in higher education, currently serving as the Assistant Vice President for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at the University of Utah since November 2020. With prior experience as the Director of Student Diversity and Inclusion at Westminster College and the Assistant Dean of Students for Student Engagement and Success, Daniel has demonstrated a strong commitment to fostering inclusive environments. A presenter and facilitator for Catharsis Productions since 2013, Daniel co-created the Facing Race training and has led dialogues addressing identity, power, privilege, and sexual violence. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Utah, along with multiple degrees encompassing instructional leadership and educational policy.
