We are seeking an experienced Managing Director to join our Private Capital Advisory team, reporting to the Head of the Private Capital Advisory. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping drive business growth, cultivating client relationships, and providing strategic guidance to our clients.ĢżĢż CastleOak aims to become a leading secondaries market advisor, focusing on providing strategic advisory services to financial sponsors across a variety of portfolio and fund management objectives, advising limited partners on liquidity solutions for their portfolios, and being an intermediary for innovative capital and liquidity solutions for private markets issuers and investors.Ģż This role requires a deep understanding of the private capital landscape, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in investment banking or private capital advisory services.
Responsibilities:
- Grow Private Capital Advisory revenues, overseeing all aspects of business operations, including business development, client relationship management, and team leadership.
- Develop and implement plans to set business goals and strategies, drive revenue growth, and expand the firm's presence in the private capital markets.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with private capital clients and alternative asset investors, including private equity firms, venture capital firms, family offices, high net worth individuals, endowments, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, and other institutional investors.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on a wide range of private capital transactions, including GP-led secondaries, LP-led secondaries, GP capital raises, GP subscription lines, GP-GP mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and GP strategic partnerships.
- Help recruit, lead, and mentor a team of professionals within the Private Capital Advisory division, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
- Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments impacting the private capital landscape, providing insights and recommendations to clients and internal teams.
- Represent the firm at industry conferences, seminars, and networking events, actively promoting our brand and capabilities within the private capital community.
- Leverage depth of knowledge and experience to collaboratively create differentiated private capital solutions anchored in quality, with a focus on achieving investment outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in investment banking, private capital advisory, or a related field, with a focus on private capital transactions
- Proven track record of success in driving business growth, building and maintaining client relationships, and leading teams to achieve strategic objectives
- Deep understanding of the private capital markets, including private equity, venture capital, and alternative investments
- Established expertise in sourcing and capital allocation strategy as well as M&A processes and deal structures
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner
- Strong analytical, listening, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to meet client needs
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a high degree of adaptability and resilience
- Entrepreneurial spirit and high level of self-motivation
- FINRA licenses 79, 63 required.
