Ricardo Adrian Villavicencio Flores is a Quality Control Specialist at Cartesian Therapeutics since February 2023, responsible for QC analysis of CAR-T cells and mRNA lots. Previously, Ricardo served as a Quality Control Intern, assisting in the production of FDA-compliant cell therapy products and supporting process validation efforts. At Edesa, Ricardo worked as a Quality Control Laboratory Technician, where quality inspection of raw materials and finished products led to significant reductions in intermediate-product-quality deviations. Ricardo also held the position of Supervisor of Factory Operations at Edesa, effectively managing staff and resources while reducing product defects and waste. Experience as a Quality Control Intern at Grupo Bimbo provided mastery in standard operating procedures and documentation practices. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Universidad San Francisco de Quito.
