Uma Gaur, PhD has a diverse work experience in the fields of quality assurance, regulatory affairs, scientific research, and academia. Uma is currently the Associate Director of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs at Response Biomedical Corp. Prior to this, Uma worked as a Review Editor at Frontiers. Uma also held multiple roles at Artron Laboratories Inc., including Associate Director of Regulatory Affairs and Compliance, Manager of Scientific and Regulatory Affairs, and Research Scientist and Technical Specialist for COVID-19. In addition, Uma worked as a Senior Research Technologist at The University of British Columbia, where they conducted targeted whole-exome sequencing for early-onset epilepsy and managed a successful Diagnostic Accreditation Program. Uma has also served as a Post-doctoral Scientist at the University of Macau and Sichuan Agricultural University, conducting research on neurodegeneration, aging, and evolutionary development. Uma's earlier experiences include being a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at Sichuan Agricultural University, a Teaching Associate at Sichuan Agricultural University, a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and holding various roles at Sandor Proteomics Pvt. Ltd., including Head of Animal Genetics Division and Next Generation Sequencing Scientist. Uma began their career as a Research Associate at the University of Delhi, South Campus.

Uma Gaur, PhD has a solid education history in the field of biological sciences. Uma started with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biology, General from MD University, Rohtak in 2004. Uma then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Biotechnology from CCS University, Meerut from 2004 to 2006.

In 2007, Uma Gaur began their Ph.D. in Animal Biotechnology at Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar. Uma successfully completed their doctorate program in 2010.

Following their Ph.D., Uma Gaur went on to pursue a Post-doctorate at the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. During this period from 2012 to 2014, their research focused on Porcine Immunogenomics.

In addition to their formal education, Uma Gaur has obtained various certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Uma has completed courses such as Genomic Data Science Specialization, Bioconductor for Genomic Data Science, and Python Programming Masterclass. Uma has also obtained certifications related to internal auditing and genomic technologies.

Furthermore, Uma Gaur has received a reviewer certificate from the Journal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine.
