Philip Beard

Electrical Engineer at Carnegie Robotics

Philip Beard is an experienced electrical engineer currently working at Carnegie Robotics since July 2021, focusing on hardware design for R&D and scalable production products, including 3D camera systems and autonomous robotic systems. Prior to this role, Philip served as Electrical Systems Manager at Honeybee Robotics from July 2017 to June 2021, where responsibilities included leading avionics design for NASA's VIPER Drilling Platform and overseeing electrical assembly for DARPA's RSGS Arm. Philip's earlier experience includes roles as an Electrical Project Engineer at Texas Instruments and various teaching assistant positions at Michigan State University, where expertise was shared in analog circuits and radio frequency electronics. Philip holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University and previously studied Audio Production at Michigan Technological University.
