Stephen Ryan has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Stephen started their career as a Principal Manager at Reeves and Neylan, Chartered Accountants in 1985, where they worked until 1997. Stephen then became the Company Secretary at Gordon and Innes Ltd from 1997 to 2000. In 2000, Stephen started their own consultancy firm, Stephen Ryan Consultancy, where they served as the Owner. In 2005, they joined Tio Ltd as the Managing Director and held this position until 2014. Following this, Stephen became the Site Director at Produce World Group in 2014. Finally, in 2015, they took on the role of Managing Director at Carbon Black System.

Stephen Ryan attended Monifieth High School from 1977 to 1982. Stephen then went on to enroll at the University of Dundee from 1982 to 1985, where they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Economics.
