Troy Sandberg is a highly experienced scientist currently serving as a Scientist at Caltech since September 2024 and as a Principal Scientist at Capsida Biotherapeutics since March 2021, where previous roles included Senior Scientist in Automation and AAV Engineering. Prior to these positions, Troy worked at the Fleet Science Center from March 2017 to February 2021, focusing on Science Communication and Outreach while also volunteering for Two Scientists Walk into a Bar events. At the University of California San Diego, from October 2018 to December 2019, Troy contributed as a Postdoctoral Researcher, employing 'evolution machine' robotic systems developed during doctoral studies to investigate adaptive mutations in Escherichia coli. Troy holds a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from Caltech (2008-2012) and a Doctor of Philosophy in Bioengineering from UC San Diego (2012-2018).
