Philip Bisaillon has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Philip started their career at Westaim Corporation as a Research Technologist in 1996. Philip then worked as a Laboratory Research Technologist at Sherrit International from 1996 to 1998. In 2000, they became a Crew Leader/Shift Supervisor at Surface Engineered Products.
From 2003 to 2004, Bisaillon worked as a Laboratory Research Technologist at Sulzer Metco Canada, conducting research on aerospace powders. Philip then transitioned to the role of Production Scheduler/Planner at Sulzer Metco (Canada) Inc from 2004 to 2007.
In 2007, Bisaillon joined EPCOR as an Inventory Manager, responsible for managing inventory in various departments. Philip also served as a Purchasing Manager during their tenure.
Bisaillon then moved to Capital Power Corporation in 2007, where they worked as an Inventory Manager, reconciling inventory systems and providing reports. Philip later became the Senior Manager, Contracts, overseeing contract negotiations and vendor relationships, as well as serving as the process owner for inventory and purchasing Oracle modules.
In 2009, Bisaillon took on a volunteer role at APICS Edmonton Chapter as a Director at Large. Philip organized Professional Development Meetings, managed the chapter website, and coordinated Plant Tours. Philip later became the VP of Administration in 2016.
Currently, Bisaillon holds the position of Senior Manager, Contracts at Capital Power, where they lead contract negotiations and manages vendor relationships. Philip is also responsible for overseeing a team that includes a Purchasing, Facilities, and Inventory group.
Philip Bisaillon obtained a degree in Chemical Engineering Technology from Cambrian College in the field of Chemical Engineering Technology from 1990 to 1993. In 2002 to 2003, they earned a Supervisory Development Citation from the University of Alberta. In 2006 to 2008, Philip obtained their Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) degree from APICS. In 2013, they received the Senior Professional in Supply Management (SPSM) certification from Next Level Purchasing. Lastly, in 2017, Philip became Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) from APICS.
