Derek F. is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in the financial services sector. Currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer and Enterprise Architect at the Canadian Securities Administrators since November 2020, Derek previously held the position of Managing Director of Solution Architecture, Portfolio Planning, and Transformation in Finance Technology at BMO Financial Group from January 2019 to November 2020. Prior to that, Derek was Head of Digital Technology Group at CGI, where responsibilities included defining strategic direction and managing significant project portfolios. Additionally, Derek served as Director of Consulting Services at CGI, providing architecture advisory for wealth management tax solutions. Early in the career, Derek worked at IBM as a Senior IT Architect, collaborating with executive teams to enhance operational efficiency. Derek holds a degree in Technologies from the University of Waterloo.
