Michelle Gibson CPA-CGA, CIA, CRMA, is a seasoned professional in internal controls and financial policies, currently serving as Manager of Internal Controls & Financial Policies at Canadian Blood Services since November 2019. Prior to this role, Michelle gained extensive experience at NAV CANADA in various capacities including Senior Internal Control Testing Specialist and Acting Manager of the Internal Controls Office. Additional experience includes positions at MD Physician Services as Audit Coordinator/Payroll Manager and Senior Internal Auditor, as well as consulting work as a Project Manager. Early career experience includes roles at General Dynamics Canada Ltd, PwC, and EY. Michelle holds multiple certifications, including a Certificate in Risk Management Assurance and Certified Internal Auditor, along with a CGA designation and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Ottawa.
