Darren Doherty is a seasoned insurance professional currently serving as a Senior Underwriter in Property and Casualty at Canada Life Reinsurance since July 2023. Prior to this role, Darren held various positions at QBE Re from February 2013 to June 2023, progressing from Underwriter to Senior Underwriter in Property Treaty. Previous experience includes working as an Underwriting Assistant for Financial Lines at Liberty Mutual Insurance from July 2011 to February 2013 and completing a university work placement at Allianz Insurance Plc as an Underwriting Assistant for Commercial Motor. Darren's academic credentials include a CIP from The Insurance Institute (2016-2017), a Master of Arts in French (2.2 Hons) from the University of Limerick (2010-2011), and a BA in International Insurance & European Studies (2.2 Hons) from the University of Limerick (2006-2010). Additionally, Darren participated in an Erasmus exchange program at Université de Montpellier 1 in 2008.
