Travis Frey is the current Chief Technology Officer at Calyxt. Travis was previously the VP of Science and Innovation at WISErg Corporation from March 2018 to April 2019. Prior to that, they were the Biotechnology Controlled Environment Lead at Monsanto Company from January 2006 to March 2018.

Travis Frey has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Plant Biology and Biotechnology from the University of Delaware, and a Master of Science (MS) in Plant Breeding and Plant Genetics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Travis also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Horticultural Science from Penn State University.

They are on a team with Debra Frimerman - General Counsel, Bill Koschak - Chief Financial Officer, and Dan Voytas - Chief Science Officer. Travis Frey reports to Jim Blome, CEO.
