Roozbeh Khodambashi

Product Development Engineer at Calviri

Roozbeh Khodambashi has worked in a variety of roles in the engineering and research space since 2008. Roozbeh began as a Research & Development Mechanical Engineer at Kaveh Mechatronics, where they designed new products from concept through prototype. Roozbeh then moved on to Medical Device Engineer at Tuba Negin, where they designed CAD models and temperature controllers for medical autoclaves and heating ovens. In 2014, they took on a Graduate Research Assistant role at Georgia Institute of Technology, where they developed cleanroom processes and used MATLAB signal processing for detection of particles in microfluidic devices. In 2015, they worked as an Engineering Intern at GVU Prototyping Lab, where they reviewed designs for manufacturability and performance. From 2017 to 2021, they served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Arizona State University, where they demonstrated major leadership in a $2M Office of Naval Research (ONR) funded project and published in top-tier journals. Roozbeh currently holds the role of Research And Development Engineer at CALVIRI.

Roozbeh Khodambashi has a diverse educational background. Roozbeh obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Shahrekord University from 2000 to 2005. Roozbeh then went on to obtain a Master of Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic from 2005 to 2008. Roozbeh then obtained a Master of Science in Music Technology from Georgia Institute of Technology from 2014 to 2016. Roozbeh also obtained certifications from Coursera and Lynda.com in 2022 and 2016, respectively. Roozbeh is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Systems Engineering at Arizona State University, which they started in 2017 and is expected to complete in 2021. Roozbeh also obtained a Quality Management System Auditor (QMSA) certification from TUV Nord in 2011.
