Don Collado is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the medical device industry. Currently serving as Device Engineering Manager at Cerus since March 2020, Don previously held roles at Siemens Healthineers as an R&D Senior Systems Engineer, contributing significantly to molecular diagnostics. Don has also worked at Abbott as an R&D Systems Engineer, where leadership and innovation in high-throughput blood analyzers were key responsibilities. Earlier experience includes testing and research roles at Philips, UCSF Medical Center, and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Don holds a Master of Science in Engineering (MSE) in Systems Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
