Kristel Yap has extensive work experience in various administrative and human resources roles. Kristel is currently employed at Calo Inc., where they serve as a Human Resources Operations Specialist and previously worked as a Human Resources Assistant. Prior to that, they worked as an Administrative Assistant to the General Manager at Sheraton Hotels & Resorts. Kristel also served as an Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer at Charilaos Apostolides Bahrain WLL and at The BeautyCo. Additionally, Kristel has prior experience at Falak Enterprises WLL, where they held roles such as Franchise Manager, Team Leader & Administrative Assistant, Assistant Team Leader & Administrative Assistant, and Customer Relations, Front Desk Officer & Sales Associate. Throughout their career, Kristel has demonstrated strong leadership, customer service, and organizational skills.

Kristel Yap's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Geography from the University of the Philippines, which they obtained from 2004 to 2008. Kristel also attended Instituto Cervantes de Manila in 2016 to study the Spanish Language. In 2010-2011, they completed the Bulletproof Leadership Course at Crestcom International, focusing on Organizational Leadership. Additionally, they received Supervisory Skills Training from Victory Training and Development Institute-Bahrain in 2009. For their high school education, they attended St. Agnes' Academy in the Philippines from 1995 to 2003. Prior to that, from 1990 to 1994, they studied at Sacred Heart School in Isa Town, Bahrain, completing the Prep - Junior 2 level.

In addition to their formal education, Kristel Yap has obtained various certifications throughout their career. These include a Certificate in Organizational Development from Reach Academy in May 2021, a Certificate of Internship - Project Manager from SchemaZone in March 2021, and a Certification in Administrative Human Resources from Illumeo in March 2021. Kristel also obtained a Certification in Project Manager Intensive Training Program (PMITP) from Reach Academy in March 2021.

Other certifications earned by Kristel Yap include Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) Treatment Facility Design from the World Health Organization in April 2020. In 2019, they obtained certifications in "Developing a Service Mindset," "Introducing AI to Your Organization," "Balancing Multiple Roles as a Leader," "Ryan Holmes on Social Leadership," and "Jeff Weiner on Managing Compassionately," all from LinkedIn. In 2016, they attended the "From Entrepreneurship to Conflict Resolution" workshop by Suhail Ghazi Algosaibi organized by the Entrepreneurs' Organization and participated in TEDx Sakhir organized by TEDx Arabia. Other certifications include winning 3rd Place in GCC Game Jam from Bahrain Polytechnic in May 2015 and receiving the Outstanding Executive Leader Award from Falak Enterprises WLL (DreamBody Centre) in April 2015.
