Derek Balmer is a seasoned design professional with extensive experience in product design, having held senior and leadership roles in various organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Product Designer at Cadence since November 2021, Derek previously led the design of the global design system at Teladoc Health, enhancing user experience and integration across platforms. Prior experience includes roles at Livongo, where Derek designed responsive web applications, and at myStrength, where involvement in the development of digital behavioral health applications and marketing initiatives took place. Early career highlights include founding a design studio, Hold Fast Creative, and serving as Director of Creative Services at 9 Squared, which significantly contributed to the mobile content distribution landscape. Derek holds an Associate of Science degree in Interactive Web Design from Platt College.
