Jessica Zairo has a diverse work experience spanning over 18 years. Jessica started their career as a Library Assistant at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, where they provided instruction on computer programs, online databases, and technology devices. Jessica also maintained the periodical collection and assisted in the visual impairment center. Following this, they worked as a Library Assistant at the Allentown Public Library, where they led summer activities, collaborated on children's summer programming, and assisted with reference questions and research. Jessica also worked in technical services, retrieving books and processing loans.
Jessica then moved on to the Lehigh Valley Health Network, where they served as a Library Technician. Jessica'sresponsibilities included performing daily circulation tasks, providing research assistance to medical staff, and assisting the Library Director with budget planning and material withdrawal. Jessica later joined CVS Caremark Corporation as a Special Projects Coordinator, where they prepared stores for the implementation of a new corporate system and trained employees on new procedures. Jessica also served as a Shift Supervisor, managing and scheduling employees.
In 2006, Jessica joined Everlove & Associates, Inc. as an Information Manager. Jessica'srole involved providing legal reference and research services, maintaining the circulation database, processing accounts payable, and preparing budgets. Jessica then moved to the Tampa Bay Library Consortium in 2011, where they worked as a Member Services Coordinator. Jessica'sresponsibilities included coordinating services and outreach visits for member libraries, creating newsletters and communication pieces, and planning the launch of a marketing campaign.
Most recently, Jessica has been working at ByWater Solutions since 2015. Jessica initially worked as an Educator, developing training programs for new customers and utilizing change management skills to encourage trainees to embrace new technology. In 2018, they transitioned to the role of Marketing and Outreach Coordinator. Jessica'sresponsibilities included social media marketing, brand recognition, digital content creation, outreach events coordination, and leading the sales team. Jessica is currently serving as the Director of Library Sales & Outreach, where they build relationships with partners, provides leadership to the sales team, encourages community involvement, and delivers excellent customer service.
Jessica Zairo has a strong education background in library science. Jessica obtained their Bachelor's degree from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 2004. Jessica then pursued further studies and earned a Master's degree in Library Science from the University of South Florida from 2007 to 2009.
In addition to their academic qualifications, Jessica has also pursued professional certifications. Jessica completed the Sunshine State Library Leadership Institute offered by the Florida Department of State in July 2014. Furthermore, they obtained a certification in Leadership and Management Spectrum, although the specific month of acquisition is unknown, in 2012.
