Ron Stubbs has a diverse and extensive work experience in the food industry. Ron is currently serving as the Senior Director of Food Science, Quality and Safety at ButcherBox since June 2023. Prior to this role, they held the position of Director of Food Science, Quality, and Safety at ButcherBox from May 2022 to June 2023.
Before joining ButcherBox, Ron worked at Dine Brands Global from March 2019 to May 2022. During their tenure, they held the position of Senior Manager, Quality Assurance, where they were responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of beef, poultry, eggs, seasonings, and non-traditional food products. Ron also served as the Product Manager, Quality Assurance for the beef and seasonings categories of both Applebee's and IHOP brands.
Prior to that, Ron held various roles at JBS USA/Smithfield Beef Group/Packerland Packing from 2002 to 2011. Ron served as the Head of Ground Beef Operations, Food Safety Director, Director of Ground Beef Operations, and Director of Food Safety during their time with the company.
Ron began their career at Fairbank Farms in 1998, where they worked as the Director of Technical Services.

Ron Stubbs received their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Animal Science from the University of Nevada, Reno, where they studied from 1991 to 1996. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Food Science (Meat Science) at Oklahoma State University from 1996 to 1998. In terms of certifications, Ron obtained a HACCP Certification from the International HACCP Alliance in November 1998. In April 2013, they acquired a ServSafe Manager certification from the NRA. Most recently, they obtained a Preventive Controls Individual for Human Food (PCQI) certification from FSPCA in September 2018.
