Justin Brecht is an experienced educator and leader in the field of urban charter school development. Currently serving as a Fellow at Building Excellent Schools since 2016, Brecht is involved in the rigorous training of individuals for leadership roles in high-achieving schools. Previously, as the Teacher and Founder of BRICK Academy within the Clark County School District from 2009 to 2016, Brecht established a program focused on character education, implemented significant instructional improvements, and mentored new teachers. Brecht's teaching career began with positions at the Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy and as a Corps Member with Teach For America, where measurable academic gains were consistently achieved. Brecht holds degrees from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas and Colorado State University.
