Joined the Buckeye Ranch Family in December 2020 and is currently the Vice President of Community Based and Education Services. Raised in Central Ohio, she is a passionate advocate for marginalized populations and childhood mental health. Kamilah has been committed both personally and professionally to reducing risks inherent to social determinants of health. Her clinical areas of expertise include the intersection of mental health and education. Kamilah completed her undergraduate studies at Ohio Dominican University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. Additionally, Kamilah earned a Master of Science in Education with a focus in Community Counseling from the University of Dayton and a Master’s in Business Administration from Otterbein University. She began working with children and families in 2007 at Nationwide Children's Hospital and held various roles, including providing direct care, supervisory, and management positions. Kamilah has significant experience in collaborating with school districts and community organizations to decrease the gap in access to care for youth and families, as well as implementing evidence-based practices for youth with intense needs. Additionally, Kamilah’s clinical experience and knowledge of business practices through obtaining an MBA have supported effective program development and implementation. She continues to look for opportunities to disrupt typical patterns for problem-solving in the mental health field and apply innovative strategies for solutions and practice.
