Shawn Ren has five years of work experience. In 2012, they worked as a Project Coordinator for Amerril Energy, where they successfully used six sigma DMAIC to improve and redesign report distribution process, increasing system efficiency by 50%. In 2014, they became a Project Quality Engineer for Amerril Energy LLC, where they produced well quality control projects and successfully developed, applied and maintained the quality requirements of 47 producing wells, controlling the cost of quality and saving roughly $1,000,000. In 2019, they attended Flatiron School, where they conducted four group projects and one personal project. In 2020, they became a Software Developer for Mi4 Corporation. Currently, they are a Senior Software Developer for Brokerage Engine.

Shawn Ren's education history includes a Bachelor of Management from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics from 2006 to 2010, an MIE from the University of Houston from 2010 to 2012, and a Full Stack Software Engineering course from Flatiron School in 2019. Additionally, Shawn has obtained certifications including a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt from ASQ - World Headquarters in May 2018, a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) from ASQ - World Headquarters in April 2018, and a PMP from the Project Management Institute in July 2017.
