Max Zintel

Engineering Manager - Cloud & Devops at Funnel Leasing

Max Zintel has worked in a variety of roles since 2016. In 2016, they worked as a Software Engineering and Data Science Co-op at BMW Manufacturing Co., LLC, where they worked with data logging/analysis software to monitor mobile applications and created data visualizations to identify areas in need of optimization, as well as coded a user interface to provide a streamlined internal navigation of an application. In 2017, they worked as a DevOps Engineer and Automation Engineer at BMW Manufacturing Co., LLC, where they built declarative Infrastructure as Code to deploy highly available, automatically scaling, and secure applications on AWS with Kubernetes & Terraform, and automated CI/CD by building deployment pipelines in Bamboo and Jenkins. Max also worked as a DevOps Engineer and Automation Engineer at Orange Bees, where their responsibilities and projects were no different than at BMW. In 2017, they also conducted research at SUNY Geneseo, where they developed a strategy for relative value assessment in Chess using Chromatic Numbers, and presented their research on GREAT Day. In 2020, they began working as a DevOps Engineer at Funnel, where they design, builds, and maintains highly available test/QA/staging/production environments on small team using IAC (Terraform), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and cloud infrastructure (AWS). Max also supports and facilitates developer velocity by building efficient and intuitive CI/CD and as a troubleshooting resource.

Max Zintel obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from SUNY Geneseo between 2013 and 2017. Max also holds four certifications from Coursera and Udemy, obtained in 2020 and 2019 respectively. These include API Security on Google Cloud's Apigee API Platform, API Design and Fundamentals of Google Cloud's Apigee API Platform (with Honors), API Development on Google Cloud's Apigee API Platform (with Honors), and Docker and Kubernetes: The Complete Guide.
