Afshin Momtaz is an experienced engineer with a robust background in analog and mixed signal design. As the Vice President of Engineering at Broadcom Limited since November 1998, Afshin leads the development of multi-Gbps wireline and wireless transceivers across various applications, including Serdes and 5G RF transceivers, managing projects that span data rates from 1Gbps to over 1Tbps with advanced modulation schemes. Prior to this role, Afshin held design engineering positions at Adaptec and Western Digital, focusing on fiber channel transceivers and disk drive read channels, respectively. Afshin's academic credentials include a PhD in Electrical Engineering from UC Irvine, alongside a Master's degree from UCLA and a Bachelor's degree from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, complemented by early education in engineering at Jussieu Paris 7.
