Richard Sainsbury is an accomplished Engineering Manager with extensive experience in engineering leadership across various sectors, including HVAC and aerospace. Currently serving at British Gypsum since December 2015, Richard focuses on advancing world-class manufacturing practices. Previous roles include overseeing engineering functions at Formax UK Ltd and managing industrial engineering teams at Vaillant Group, where notable achievements included improving operational efficiency and leading significant construction projects. Richard’s early career involved project management in aerospace at Hamilton Sundstrand and GKN Westland Aerospace Ltd, where Richard drove product development and process optimization initiatives. Richard Sainsbury holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Portsmouth and an MBA from The Open University.
