Shelly Sun is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the healthcare and finance sectors. As the Founder and Executive Chairwoman of BrightStar Care since October 2002, Shelly Sun has managed day-to-day operations, including contract negotiations and system development, while also leading the company through its initial financing and licensing processes. Prior to BrightStar Care, Shelly Sun served as Vice President and Controller at Avolar, where the implementation of Oracle systems and policy development were critical, and as Vice President of Financial Reporting at CNA Insurance, overseeing financial operations for a $15 billion company. Shelly Sun holds a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
