Chris Brown serves as the Equalities, Diversity & Inclusion Officer (Disability) at Brighton & Hove City Council since March 2022. With a diverse background in mental health and inclusion, Chris has been self-employed as a Trainer, Consultant, and Embodied Coach since August 2016. Previous roles include LGBTQ Development Officer and LGBT HIP Development Worker at Switchboard, focused on healthcare needs of the LGBT community in Brighton and Hove. Chris co-founded Grassroots Suicide Prevention and served as its Director of Communications and Engagement, teaching vital suicide alertness and intervention skills. Early career experiences include managing day services for individuals with mental health challenges at Care Co-ops, training officers at Rethink, and providing freelance educational services. Chris holds a BA in Applied Psychology from the University of Sussex.
