Dian Rahardjo is an experienced optometrist with a diverse background in providing culturally safe optometry services, particularly for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Currently serving as a locum optometrist and education officer at AMS Redfern/Brien Holden Foundation, responsibilities include client care and training health professionals. Dian has also held various roles in the Brien Holden Vision Institute, including planning culturally appropriate training within the Provision of Eye Health Equipment and Training project. With a strong academic foundation, including a Master’s Degree in Public Health from UNSW and a Graduate Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics from QUT, Dian has contributed significantly to multiple research initiatives and has supervised and lectured optometry students at UNSW. Prior positions have included clinical optometry roles and project management, particularly focused on improving eye care access for vulnerable populations.
