Dan Darbandi, M.S. is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in grants administration and project management within the nonprofit sector. Currently serving as a Senior Grants Associate at Borealis Philanthropy since September 2019, Dan oversees the administration of over 200 grants annually, collaborating with various fund staff to enhance operational processes that support racial equity and diversity initiatives. Prior experience includes managing a $3 million corporate funding portfolio at Rebuilding Together and providing project management support for a multi-million dollar interstate compact at the Midwestern Higher Education Compact. Dan's background also includes freelance copywriting for the construction industry and significant volunteer leadership roles with Habitat for Humanity and Volunteers of America. Dan holds a Master of Science in Public Service Management from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Providence College.
