Ivette Peña Rivas has over 10 years of experience in project management and design. Ivette began their career in 2010 as a Design and Technical Drawing Intern at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, where they assisted the Senior Architect in the estimation of costs and equipments for the university’s buildings that were under construction or rehabilitation. Ivette then worked as a Graphic Design Intern at M97 Gallery in 2012, where they designed posters, flyers, invitations and propaganda for every exhibition inside the Gallery. In the same year, they were a Landscape Design Intern at Nita Group (Shanghai), where they were part of the team that created and designed master plan concepts for large-scale projects in different areas within China. In 2011, they were a Design Assistant at Fundación Escuela Taller de Bogotá, where they were involved in the design and restoration of building No. 5 at the Grand Central Station Bogotá Complex. From 2013 to 2016, they held various roles including Manager Assistant at Paintertainment Studio, Exhibition Manager at Digital Art Weeks BIO-ART Exhibition, Project Manager at Ecolab Arquitectura, and Project Manager Business Development at Miralles Tagliabue EMBT. Currently, they are a Procurement Manager at Bob W.

Ivette Peña Rivas began their educational journey in 1992 when they attended Jefferson School to learn English. In 2005, they obtained a Bachelor Degree in Architecture from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. From 2013 to 2015, they studied Chinese Studies at Shanghai University of Engineering Science and obtained a Chinese Language and Culture degree. From 2014 to 2016, they attended Fudan University and obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Chinese Language, Culture and Arts. From 2017 to 2019, they obtained a Master of Arts - MA in World Heritage and Cultural Projects For Development from Politecnico di Torino. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Arts - MA in Visual Arts and Curatorial Studies from NABA Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti, which they expect to complete in 2022.
