Stephen Heinauer has over 19 years of experience in the education sector. Stephen started their career as a Classroom Teacher at Blue Valley School District in 2003 and worked there until 2008. Stephen then served as an Elementary Administrative Intern for a year before becoming a Middle School Assistant Principal in 2009. From 2010 to 2016, Stephen worked as an Elementary School Principal, and then as a Middle School Principal from 2016 to 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Human Resources - Certified at Blue Valley School District. In addition to their work in the education sector, Stephen served as an Adjunct Professor at Baker University starting in 2017.

Stephen Heinauer attended Baker University from 2012 to 2015, where they received a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General. Prior to that, they attended Baker University from 2007 to 2008 and obtained a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General. Stephen began their education journey at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 1998 to 2002, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Teaching.
