Tom McDonald has extensive experience in the healthcare and technology sectors, currently serving as the Director of Medicare Technical Product Management at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts since August 2007. Previous roles at the same company include Senior Manager of IT Strategy and Planning, Senior Program Manager of Business Planning, Senior Business Consultant, and Business Consultant. Prior to Blue Cross Blue Shield, Tom worked as a Management Consultant Intern at Partners HealthCare, where responsibilities included conducting interviews and performing analyses to inform strategic recommendations. An internship in the IT Leadership Development Program at Raytheon involved documentation for disaster recovery and cost management initiatives. Early career experience at MEDITECH as a Programmer/Analyst centered on developing and managing software interfaces in a hospital environment. Tom holds an MBA and MS in Business Administration and Information Systems from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Management from Boston College.
