Matt Schmale is a skilled data scientist currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist for the Emerging Analytics team at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama since June 2021. Prior to this role, Matt worked as a Software Engineer/Data Scientist at NaphCare, Inc., where responsibilities included constructing machine learning and deep learning pipelines for medical data analysis. Additional experience includes a position as a Software Engineer at Regions Bank and previous software engineering roles at McLeod Software and Warren Averett, LLC. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and is pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology, expected to be completed in May 2025.
