Samit Paul has an extensive work history in data science and analytics. Samit most recently served as the Head of Data Sciences at BloomReach since December 2018. Prior to that, they were the Director of Data Science at Envestnet | Yodlee from July 2016 to December 2018. Samit also held positions as the Director of Data Science & Information Management at American Express from November 2014 to June 2016, and as a Data Scientist at Intuit from July 2010 to March 2014. Additionally, Samit has experience in big data analytics as an MTS 2 at PayPal from March 2014 to October 2014. Samit also worked as a Member of Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT) India Lab at Samsung India Software Operations from February 2010 to July 2010. Samit began their career at GE Global Research as a researcher in the Computing and Decision Sciences Lab from August 2000 to January 2010.

Samit Paul completed their MSc in Applied Statistics and Informatics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay from 1998 to 2000. Prior to that, they obtained a B.Sc. in Mathematics from Jadavpur University.
