Jil Ross is a versatile professional with extensive experience in writing, education, and organizational governance. Currently a member at the Polsky Center at the University of Chicago and a trustee at Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School, Jil contributes to strategic initiatives and mission development. With a substantial background as a playwright active in the Black Ensemble Theater's Black Playwrights Initiative, Jil has produced over nine original works. Freelance writing spans screenplays, stage plays, and grant writing, showcasing a commitment to storytelling. Additionally, Jil authored The Shenanigans Series of Books and managed the Golden Gate Day Care Center's operations for nearly two decades. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Chicago State University.
