Lucas Hughes is an accomplished professional in the fields of landscape architecture and urban design with extensive teaching and project management experience. Currently serving as the Head of Research at Define Planning and Design Ltd since October 2022, Lucas also holds multiple roles at Birmingham City University, including Course Director for the Masters in Urban Design and Senior Lecturer in BA Landscape Architecture. Additional contributions include developing benchmark statements for the Quality Assurance Agency and past roles in various design and technical support capacities across several firms. With a strong educational background that includes a Master's in Urban Design and a BA (Hons) in Landscape Architecture, Lucas maintains a commitment to academic excellence and practical application within the industry.
