Laura Winzen has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Laura currently works as a Senior Instructional Designer at TouchNet, A Global Payments Company since September 2021. In their previous role, they served as a Learning Development Strategist at the American Academy of Family Physicians from September 2018 until September 2021. Prior to that, they held positions such as Educational Technology Department Manager and Educational Technology Strategist at the same company from 2011 to 2018. Laura also worked at Park University as an Assistant Director of Online Operations from November 2011 to July 2010 and as an Instructional Designer from April 2009 to July 2010. Laura started their career at TouchNet Information Systems, Inc. as a Sr. Technical Writer from November 2004 to April 2009.

Laura Winzen has a comprehensive education history. Laura obtained a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia between 1987 and 1990. Prior to that, they studied English at Rockhurst University from 1985 to 1987. In 2004, Laura enrolled at Capella University and completed their Master of Science in Education degree, specializing in Instructional Design for Online Learning, in 2007. Currently, Laura is pursuing a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree at Baker University, specializing in Instructional Design & Performance Technology. Their expected graduation year is 2024.
