Aviv Shtein has worked as an R&D Engineer at Bionaut Labs since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked for the Israel Defense Forces where they served as a Finance Manager from June 2016 to March 2018. Aviv also held the role of Research and Development Project Manager for tactical gear from October 2015 to June 2016.

From 2018 to 2022, Aviv Shtein attended Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
