Amulang Shikeeva has a diverse work experience in the field of laboratory operations and genetics. In 2019, they worked as the Director of Laboratory Operations at BioLabs in Philadelphia. Prior to this, they served as an Equipment Manager at the same company. From 2015 to 2018, they held the role of Clinical and Laboratory Geneticist in the Department of Laboratory Diagnostics at the Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Health Ministry of the Russian Federation. In 2013, they worked as a Researcher in the Department of Pathology at the Russian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education, and also as a Research Fellow in the Laboratory of Epigenetics at the Research Centre of Medical Genetics. Amulang'searlier experience includes roles as a Graduate Researcher and Technician in the Department of Pathology at P.A. Hertsen Moscow Oncology Research Institute from 2008 to 2013.

Amulang Shikeeva completed their education in medical biochemistry, medical genetics, and genetics and oncology. Amulang obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Medical Biochemistry from The Russian State Medical University from 2004 to 2010. Amulang then pursued further studies in Medical Genetics, earning another MD degree from the Russian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education from 2010 to 2011. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Genetics and Oncology from the Research Centre of Medical Genetics / P.A. Hertsen Moscow Oncology Research Institute from 2011 to 2014.
