Aahmek Richards has a strong background in technology and media production. Aahmek currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Binj, a role they have held since January 2019. Prior to this, Aahmek was the Executive Vice President at Global Grind from January 2010 to January 2013. Aahmek was also the Vice President of New Media & Video Production at Def Jam Recordings, where they executive produced music videos, web content, and TV specials, managed the video department staff and vendor relationships, and created video and web content for Def Jam artists. Aahmek's experience in the music industry also includes being the Head of New Media at Arista Records, where they redesigned the company's website and developed content management systems, and serving as the Executive Producer at GetMusic.com LLC, where they were responsible for creating and managing online content and developing media player platforms. In addition to their roles in the music industry, Aahmek is currently a Member of The Supervisory Board at mayk.it, starting in July 2021.

Aahmek Richards attended Clark Atlanta University from 1991 to 1995 and received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies.
