Tom DeMay has extensive work experience in the design industry. Tom is currently the Director of Brand & Design at BIGGBY COFFEE since November 2020. Prior to this role, they were the Owner + Creative Director at Ground CTRL since January 2019. From 2000 to 2018, Tom worked as the Principal + Co-Creative Director at Octane Design, specializing in print, web, and interactive design. Tom also served as an Adjunct Faculty at the College for Creative Studies in 2004 and as a Senior Designer at McMillan Associates from 1997 to 1999. Before that, they worked as an Art and Design Director at Ziff Davis Media from 1995 to 1997 and as an Assistant Art Director at TPC - The Publications Company from 1994 to 1995.

Tom DeMay attended Hillsdale College from 1989 to 1991. Tom then transferred to Wayne State University, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Art / Graphic Design from 1991 to 1994.
