Nick Treuheit has extensive experience in the field of biochemistry and pharmaceutical research. Nick is currently working as a Senior Scientist at Bavarian Nordic since May 2023. Previously, they worked at Emergent BioSolutions as a Senior Scientist from April 2022 to May 2023, and as a Research Scientist from May 2020 to April 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Research Scientist at Pfenex Inc from August 2015 to November 2019. Nick also has academic experience, having worked as a Postdoc at the University of Washington from May 2013 to August 2015, and as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, San Diego from September 2007 to April 2013. Nick also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant during their time at UC San Diego. Nick's research expertise includes high-resolution mass spectrometry, protein characterization, and experimental techniques for deuterium uptake in drug proteins and membrane-bound proteins.

Nick Treuheit earned their Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, where they attended from 2003 to 2007. Nick then pursued further education and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry from UC San Diego, completing their studies from 2007 to 2013.
