Erik Edwards has extensive work experience in the field of materials science. Erik first worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from August 2000 to August 2005. Erik then joined the Max Planck Institute for Colloids and Interfaces as a Research Scientist/Postdoctoral Fellow from October 2005 to July 2007. Since September 2007, Erik has been employed at Battelle, where they have held several roles, including Materials Research Scientist from September 2007 to January 2011, Principal Research Scientist from January 2011 to January 2016, and currently holds the position of Principal Materials Scientist. In their current role, Erik focuses on new hydrogel chemistry and manufacturing methods for sensing applications and is responsible for leading research programs and setting technical direction.
Erik Edwards received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University in 2000. Erik went on to obtain a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2005.
