Poppy Reid has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Poppy started their career as a student at University College Falmouth from 2010 to 2013. Poppy then worked as a freelance illustrator and designer under their own company, Poppy Reid Illustration and Design, starting in 2013. During this time, they also had a two-week work placement at Tigerprint, where they designed Christmas cards for Marks and Spencer's luxury range.
In 2014, Poppy became a studio member at Drawn in Bristol. Poppy further developed their skills and gained experience as an in-house designer at Rocktails from 2015, where they focused on branding, packaging design, and social media content creation. Poppy also utilized their screen printing experience to create tote bags for the company. Poppy'srole at Rocktails allowed their to collaborate with clients, customers, printers, and agencies.
Poppy ventured into entrepreneurship in 2017 when they opened their own screen printing studio, People Are Strange - Print Studio. Poppy offered screen printing services for commercial use and retail, along with workshops for those interested in learning the craft.
In 2018, they joined Eat Grub Ltd as a social media and marketing executive. Poppy'sresponsibilities in this role involved managing social media platforms and implementing marketing strategies.
In 2021, Poppy worked as the Head of Social & Content at Totally Solid Ltd before transitioning to a similar role at Basket in 2022, where they currently hold the position.
Throughout their various roles, Poppy has demonstrated their skills in illustration, design, branding, typography, and social media management. Poppy combines hand-drawn artwork with digital tools like Illustrator to bring their creative concepts to life.
Poppy Reid attended Falmouth University from 2010 to 2013. Poppy obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Illustration during their years of study at the university.
