Markus Schmidt is a seasoned professional in financial risk management, currently serving as Gruppenleiter Financial Risk Data and Model Management and Risikocontrolling at BTV Vier Länder Bank since March 2018. In addition to this role, Markus has been an external lecturer at Leopold-Franzens Universität Innsbruck since February 2014, focusing on applied financial risk management and Python programming. Prior experience includes serving as a research assistant in the Department of Banking and Finance at the same university, as well as an internship at PwC from September 2009 to February 2010. Markus holds a Master’s Degree in Banking and Finance (2011-2013) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Economics (2007-2011), both from Universität Innsbruck.
