Jason Jandrew has a strong background in plant breeding and product development. Jason began their career at Syngenta in 2002 as a Plant Breeder, where they executed multiple plant breeding programs. During their time there, they successfully navigated the purchase of Goldsmith Seeds Inc. In 2011, they joined Ball Horticultural Company as a Senior Plant Breeder, where they were responsible for product development in various ornamental plant classes. Jason played a crucial role in the development and commercialization of the Kabloom Calibrachoa, the first and only Calibrachoa available as a seed product. Jason then moved up to the role of Regional Breeding Director, where they oversaw breeding teams across the West Coast and Latin America. In 2016, they were promoted to Global Director of Plant Breeding, leading a team of breeders across multiple global research facilities. Jason's responsibilities included driving diversification in product development portfolios, creating and delivering R&D strategies, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Jason Jandrew holds a Master's degree in Horticultural Science from the University of Florida, which they obtained from 2000 to 2002. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Horticultural Science at Penn State University from 1996 to 2000.
