Brent Sumner, P.E. is an Associate Principal at W.F. Baird & Associates Coastal Engineers Ltd., with 25 years of experience in coastal engineering, specializing in diverse international projects including port facilities and marine terminals across North America. Prior to this role, Brent held positions as an Engineering ACAD at the Ocean Drilling Program, where responsibilities included developing drawings for the integration of Russian components, and as a Field Engineer at Great Lakes Dredge & Dock, focusing on project setup and quality control in the dredging sector. Earlier experience also includes working as a Field Engineer for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. Brent earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Ocean Engineering from Texas A&M University.
