Gerhard Illek has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Gerhard started their career at SLRC STREET LEGAL RACE CARS GmbH in 2009, where they served as the CEO until December 2013. In 2013, they joined AVL DiTEST as an Area Sales Manager, and later moved up to the role of Key-Account Manager. From August 2017 to September 2022, Gerhard held the position of Director of Sales and Marketing and Registered Manager at AVL DiTEST. Gerhard then transitioned to the role of Director of Product-Management, Sales and Marketing in August 2017 and continued in this role until June 2023.

Gerhard Illek began their education in 1995, attending TOYOTA Gady, where they pursued a degree in car mechanics. Gerhard successfully completed the program in 1999. Following this, they enrolled at Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz in 2004 to pursue a Master of Laws (LLM) in law studies, which they completed in 2013. Additionally, Gerhard also obtained a certification as an ISO certified coach from Trigon, although the exact dates of this certification are not provided.
