Hitesh J Desai has a diverse work experience in the fields of project management, engineering supervision, and environmental health and safety. Hitesh J began their career in 2001 as a Project EHS Officer/Engineering Supervisor at Mactec Inc, where they prepared site-specific health and safety plans and identified hazards for various projects. In 2008, they joined Railworks Track Systems, Inc as an Assistant Project Manager, providing support to the Project Director and managing a rail spur construction project. During this time, they also served as a Senior Project Engineer and was responsible for site management and safety training. Since 2012, they have been working as a Project Manager at Avesta Computer Services.

Hitesh J Desai completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Dharmsinh Desai University, graduating in 1985. Hitesh J then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from IIT in Chicago, Illinois. Hitesh focused their studies on the fields of chemical engineering and environmental engineering during their time at IIT, completing their degree in 1993.
