Duncan Macnab serves as the General Counsel at Averda since October 2021 and is a Managing Partner at Adopus Legal since October 2019. Additionally, Duncan has held a position as Non-Executive Director at a listed company since 2015 and served as General Counsel at GEMS Education from October 2020 to October 2021. An interim General Counsel for the Technology Innovation Institute in early 2020, Duncan previously spent nearly two decades at Allen & Overy, progressing from Associate to Partner between 1988 and 2019. Earlier experience includes a Senior Associate role at Clifford Chance in both Asia Pacific and other regions, with foundational training as a Trainee. Educational qualifications include an LLB (Hons) from Newcastle University and completion of the Solicitors' Final Examination at The University of Law.
